How is this different from a photographer or videographer?
Wedding photographers specialize in professional photographs, while videographers create cinematic wedding films. Wedding content creation complements these services by documenting candid, behind-the-scenes footage and creating short-form content.
I focus on the in-between moments: spontaneous laughter, reactions from your loved ones, thoughtful details, and the atmosphere of your celebration.
Wedding content creation is not intended to replace professional photography or videography. It gives you another perspective of your wedding day, with content delivered shortly after your celebration.
Will you work alongside my photographer and videographer?
Absolutely. I work collaboratively with wedding photographers, videographers, planners, and other vendors to help create a seamless experience.
I respect the creative team's space, communicate when necessary, and capture additional moments without interrupting important photographs or planned footage.
My goal is to complement their work while preserving additional memories for you.
Can we request specific moments, trends, or videos?
Of course! Your content should reflect your personalities and the vision you have for your wedding.
During our pre-wedding planning call, we'll discuss your timeline, important moments, creative inspiration, and any Instagram Reels or TikTok trends you'd like to incorporate.
Whether you love romantic editorial storytelling, documentary-style footage, or something playful and fun, we'll discuss how to incorporate those ideas naturally into your day.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. I bring my own compact content creation equipment, including a high-quality iPhone and DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
This setup allows me to move naturally throughout your wedding and document candid moments without the presence of a large production crew.
The equipment used may vary depending on lighting, the venue, and the moments being captured.
Will you be visible throughout the day?
My approach is to be present without becoming the center of attention.
I document your wedding as it naturally unfolds, allowing you and your guests to remain immersed in the celebration.
For a specific requested video, I may offer gentle direction, but most of the content is candid and documentary-inspired.

Depending on your package, you'll receive original wedding footage and edited short-form videos created for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or sharing with loved ones.

How soon will I receive my content?
Wedding content is delivered within 24–48 hours, depending on your selected package and content type.

Do you create custom Reels and TikToks?
Yes! Edited Instagram Reels and TikToks are a central part of The Wedding Edit.

Your delivered content is available through an online gallery for downloading and sharing.
Do you offer live posting during the wedding?
Live Instagram Story coverage is available as an optional service with select packages.
If you'd like moments shared during your celebration, we'll discuss your preferred account, posting style, and content preferences beforehand.
If you'd rather share your memories after the wedding, that's completely fine too.
Will I receive vertical and horizontal content?
Most wedding content is captured vertically, making it ideal for Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories, and sharing from your phone.
If you have requests for horizontal footage, mention them during our planning call so we can discuss what's possible.
How is my wedding content delivered?
Your wedding content is delivered through an online gallery.
You'll be able to view, download, save, and share your delivered photos and videos.
Depending on your package, your gallery may contain original behind-the-scenes footage and finished short-form edits.

How do we reserve our wedding date?
Begin by completing the Carly Jones Media inquiry form with your wedding date, venue, location, and a little about your celebration.
I'll review your inquiry, confirm availability, and provide information about packages and coverage options.
Your date is officially reserved once your agreement is signed and the required retainer has been received.
How far in advance should we book?
I recommend inquiring as soon as your wedding date and venue are confirmed, particularly for popular spring, summer, and fall weekends.
While many couples inquire several months in advance, last-minute bookings may be possible depending on availability.
I accept a limited number of weddings to provide each couple with a personal experience.
What is required to book?
A signed wedding content creation agreement and a 20% retainer are required to officially reserve your wedding date.
Before booking, you'll receive details about your selected package, coverage hours, deliverables, and payment schedule.
When is the final payment due?
Your remaining balance is due one week before your wedding day.
Your signed contract outlines the full payment schedule and associated terms.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Payments are non-refundable because your wedding date is reserved exclusively for you.
In the event of cancellation, 50% of the remaining unpaid balance is due within one week of cancellation, according to the signed agreement.
If your wedding needs to be rescheduled, I'll make reasonable efforts to accommodate your new date based on availability.
Your signed agreement contains the complete cancellation, postponement, and rescheduling terms.
Do you offer discounts for weekday weddings?
If you're planning a weekday wedding, intimate celebration, or an event outside the traditional wedding season, feel free to reach out.
I'd be happy to discuss available coverage options and any applicable special pricing.

Can we customize a package or add additional hours?
Absolutely. Carly Jones Media offers wedding content creation packages with 5, 8, and 10 hours of coverage.

I'm available for celebrations in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and other destinations.
Whether you're planning a wedding in Chicago, Milwaukee, Lake Geneva, or somewhere farther away, I'd love to hear about it.
Do you charge travel fees?
I do not charge additional travel fees for weddings within my standard service area, including Wisconsin.
For destination weddings or locations requiring significant travel arrangements, any additional costs will be discussed before booking.

Can you capture rehearsal dinners or other events?
Yes! In addition to wedding-day content creation, I offer coverage for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, bridal showers, engagement celebrations, and other wedding-related events.

Do you work with out-of-state or destination weddings?
Absolutely. While I'm based in Illinois, Carly Jones Media is available for weddings throughout the United States and destination celebrations.
I especially love documenting weddings throughout the Midwest, but I'm always open to exploring new locations.
